Who we are

Chellan Highway Safety Services Ltd ("Chellan", "we", "us") is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 09420398.

What we collect

• Enquiries: when you use our enquiry form we collect your name, company, email address, phone number, enquiry type and message.
• Emails, calls and CVs: anything you choose to send us directly, including CVs for job applications.
• Website logs: like most websites, our server records technical details such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit. We use these to keep the website secure and working.

How and why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to provide a quote, demo, hub visit or training place. We do this because it is in our legitimate interests to respond to people who contact us, or because you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract.
• To consider job applications. We do this to take steps at your request before entering into a contract of employment.
• To keep our website secure. We do this because it is in our legitimate interests.

We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to 2 years unless you become a client, in which case we keep them for as long as we work together and as required by law. We keep job applications for up to 6 months after a decision. Website logs are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with companies that help us run our business, such as our website hosting and email providers, who may only use it on our instructions. We may also share it where the law requires us to.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:

• Necessary cookies: to remember your cookie choice and to keep the website working securely. These do not track you.
• Optional third-party content: the map on our Chellan Hub page is provided by Google Maps, and the LinkedIn feed on our Blog page is provided by SociableKIT. These only load if you accept them. When they load, Google and SociableKIT may set cookies and receive your IP address under their own privacy policies.

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it or stop using it. To make a request, email admin@chellan.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
